generations: EPIC4 and EPIC5. They are not generally interchangable. You
should use whichever one your script requires.
Getting EPIC through your Operating System
Most operating systems have a packaging system, and epic is included as a
package in most of them. If your operating system includes an epic package,
you should use it since it is guaranteed to work, and you will receive support

Getting EPIC through CVS
The EPIC source code is available through
cvs. This is intended primarily
for those who are helping with the development or debugging of epic, and is
not intended for casual users.
Getting EPIC through FTP
For those who want to compile the source code themselves, you can download
them from ftp or http.
If you want to mirror the EPIC client, please let us know on #epic on efnet
or on irc.epicsol.org. I'd have put an email address here, but you know
